Day two is in the books here at the TransCan. Many of the most highly anticipated classes were run today. Have a look at some of the top stories from the day.

Richard Grey was on the track a few times today. He went unchallenged in the 125 Jr A class but could't hang on to the back wheel of Cole Thompson in the Schoolboy Class and finished second.

It was good to see Iain Hayden back on a race track. The Plus 25 Class was where all the trash talk was happening. #107 Ryan Gauld got everyone riled up with talk of beating everyone. It was all in good fun but when the gate dropped it actually was Gauldy out front. Marco Dube and Josh Woods took over at the front but ended up getting together and not finishing. That handed the win over to Hayden who was very humble in victory on he podium.

Michigan's Matt Crown is here with his son Joey who is a very fast mini rider. Matt showed that he still has lots of speed by winning the Vet Masters moto today.

80cc 12-16 was a very exciting race this morning. #26 Cole Varty led several laps but was overtaken by #471 Logan Karnow with 2 laps to go. They got deep into lappers which made it very difficult

Denaye Giroux led theWomens Class from start to finish today. The battle was for the final podium position between #94 Kate McKerroll and #81o. They went back and forth with MKerroll making her final pass stick for 3rd.

MX1 Intermediate started out very close until #759 LaLiberte washed out in a corner allowing #324 Dylan Kaelin to take over the lead. Kaelin went on to take the win unchallenged.

#16 Cole Thompson is going to be very tough to beat this week. He was well out front on his 150 4-stroke and repeated that performance with a 30-second lead in the final Schoolboy moto of the day.
 durivage_youth.jpg
Cole's brother Kyle Thompson pulled the holeshot in the Youth Class but was overtaken by Josh Woods and #924 Greg Durivage. Woods ran into a 'fuel shortage problem' and disappeared for a few laps. Durivage went on to take the win.

Tonight is the Sand Track-Building Competition. These three got in some early practice which may result in a protest later.

#135 Joey Crown and #51 Kade Walker had a great battle early in the 65cc 10-11 Class.Walker put in a strong move to take the lead and Crown put on a valiant chase untilhe got out of control and bumped into a hay bale. Walker took the win by a large margin after that mishap.
