There are 6,000 active amateur motocross racers....
... across Canada competing in events sanctioned by the Canadian Motorsport Racing Club (CMRC). The Canadian Amateur National Qualifiers consists of approximately 40 qualifying events in every region across the country. This program feeds an Eastern and a Western Amateur Championship and culminates in the TransCan Grand National Championship (GNC) held annually at Walton Ontario.

The Walton TransCan Grand National is now in preparation for its 12th “Celebration of Canadian Motocross” on August 13-17, 2003. In 2002 it enteratained over 900 rider entries and over 20,000 avid motor sport fans. The program includes the 3 day Amateur National Championship and culminates with the final round of the Extreme Sports Series attracting the top Canadian and American professional race teams. It is the mecca for industry representation. The August date coincides with new product introductions making it the not only the biggest outdoor motocross event but also the biggest off road motorcycle trade show in Canada . In addition to coverage on national television and every significant motorcycle publication and numerous other media, an extensive marketing campaign combine to generate over 12,000,000 impressions.
